Grrrr.....
... the boys were playing at the computer this morning, and all of a sudden: Boom! Power faillure! Try to explain to two teens, that this happens regularly... a hard job for sure. In our area they are working at the moment, trying to get Berkel connected to fiber - and with fiber you can get digital tv and super fast internet. (at least when the costs get reasonable; they are exhorbitant at the moment)

and again... socks!
I thought this colour combination was a nice one... and the recipient has a 10"foot...LOL! Pair 4 for the Canada order is ready... two pairs of socks to go.

a hat.... just for fun
Cute... this hat in red and white. I made it on one of the warmest mornings this year. Now the Summer Vacation has started, the weather is just as Dutch as always. It's raining again!!!Good for the trees though... but it will be a long run to have the boys 8 weeks indoors. Ah well :-)

It never took me that long
...to knit a pair of socks. This time Trekking XXL Tweed in black was used. It seems the colour black and I can't get along with each other, as I had to frog several times... plus the yarn in the center of the ball was entangled. I had to puzzle the knots out and that made me grumpy for sure. 350 meters were used for a 10" foot size.

I don't have any preferences. Knit with everything I can get in my hands :-D

One big needle cilinder.

I have been knitting since my 8th. Learned at school, my mom helped me perfectionize it. I would consider my level advanced.

I have a Ravelry wish list.
5. What's your favorite scent? Cinnamon
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? Yes. I like sweets in which are no traces of oranges... I am allergic to oranges.
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I spin indeed. From time to time I also crochet. I also write.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)I like the old country music... Statler brothers, Bobby Bare to name a few.

Greens, blues, yellows and reds are very much appreciated here. Pink is a colour that is disliked.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Married, one daughter, three sons. Ages 19-15-13-2 years old.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? Mittens, especially fingerless mittens.

And the last scarf is leaving...
The last scarf in the Traveling Scarf series is leaving our house tomorrow. Ilona's scarf was sideways knit....in cotton. It is very colourful for sure.

Socks ready
Another pair in Trekking Tweed... the second pair in an order of six. I love how this yarn works up. LOL! And I have to be honest... I did not have something better to do this weekend than knit. Sometimes it is so relaxing :-)
