Blanket update

I measured the blanket this afternoon... and I am over half the length that I need. 1.15 meter is done, and 85 centimeter still to go.

...no knitting...

at least not in the past few days. The kids were home - each on different days and that kept me busy. Yesterday DH was home free. So we went shopping... groceries and clothes. I needed a couple of trousers, and we were lucky as we found them. I also went for a new pair of shoes.. and came home with low boots. I like them a lot.
And now Im also waiting for the mailman to deliver a package that has been sent into my direction... a sock assignment for four pairs is coming!

My socks are done

My cellphone is acting up. I had to use the scanner to show you the pair of socks I knit for me. Unfortunately the scanner is not big enough to scan the pair...
But still, they are done and I am happy with them.

To answer Kadezmom's question: You can feel the silver sparkles when knitting, but it does not itch on the feet. The silver is a bit rougher on your hands compared to the yarn.

I used: 2 balls of Fortissima Socka Disco Socka (210 meters each) and had left over: 50 meter in total. So 370 meters yarn used... That is 404 yards for this pair! Used needles: US 2 / 2.75 mm

Victime of a crime?

My circular needle broke :-( I was working on my blanket yesterday and all of a sudden I lost several stitches. The chord broke just under the needle end... and I had to go search for a new one. The stitches are now standing on a circular that is half a millimeter larger than the previous one. Ah well :-)
