Wietse has a new sweater

It came ready yesterday... Wietse's sweater. This time I found the needles a bit harder to deal with - a set of single pointed needles known as Takumi (US 6 / 4.25 mm)
I had 2.5 ball of Cascade 220 left, after using the rest a while back for the Groninger Blanket. Just enough so it seemed for a sweater in his size. (86-92 cm)
He likes it... and it is looking so comfortable on him!

Someting entirely different

Wietse and I went to town this morning. On our walk we saw the blooming Forsythia. He wanted to grab the flowers, but alas... only on camera. There was market around the church, as every Wednesday. I bought 10 pairs of socks there, as DH needed some black socks to wear with his work uniform. As I decided to take a different route to walk back, I saw this...




It might be nationalistic, but I thought this was cute!
